INSIGHT’s LD Ball is a state-of-the-art neutrally buoyant sphere developed by INSIGHT Water Technologies for advanced pipeline assessment in potable water systems. This free-swimming, multi-sensor tool is designed to freely traverse water mains, collecting data at the centerline of the pipe. Equipped with cutting-edge internal sensors and external tracking technology, it can precisely locate leaks and gas pockets within feet. Its highly sensitive acoustic sensors can detect leaks as small as 0.1 gallons per minute at operating pressures as low as 10 psi.
